Lawn Aeration
Just like you, the soil under your lawn needs to breathe, to be as healthy as possible. Thatch and soil compaction are what can hurt your soil’s capacity to breathe. Aeration helps the soil to breathe, which is why this procedure is becoming more utilized. It is very effective in loosening compacted soil and clay. This will allow your lawn to recieve more oxygen and water to its root system.
Over time, foot traffic, pets, and mowers can have a big effect on your soil. What happens is compaction to the soil and this causes the grasses to eventually stop growing which causes brown patches. We strongly encourage, if your lawn has developed this condition to look into overseeding. that is a process that will thicken the grass and introduce younger more healthy grass to your lawn.
Although simple lawn spiking can help, it won’t help most lawns in need. If you have never had thatch removed from your lawn, you will probably need to have a core aeration performed at some point. Aeration helps to control or prevent water run off, standing water spots, dry spots, as well as certain lawn diseases. Most of the time aeration is done in the spring and fall.
Our Aeration equipment will pull plugs (aka cores) out of the soil to let air, water, and seeds (Overseeding) in. Plugs are normally about 2-3 inches in depth and the line of holes will be separated by 3 inches. This procedure normally will take between 1-2 hours to complete.Get started now by clicking the sign up button bellow.
